Shuttle buses are much faster than public buses as they don't make any stops along the way. Depending on the company, some shuttle buses might make one stop only in the Key West tour trip. An average ride by shuttle bus is around 4.5 hours. Shuttle buses are available by different companies – Greyhound, Florida Express, Key Largo Express etc.
From the other side public bus Miami to Key West is much slower but at the same time much cheaper. Public buses are slower as they make a lot of stops along the way to leave and pick up new passengers.
